They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42-47

As leaders of the youth group, our mission is to teach the word of God and make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). We are called to be shepherds of His flock (1 Peter 5:2-4) and live a life that sets an example of Christ's love. As spiritual leaders, we are here to serve; laying down our lives for His beloved children (Matthew 20:26-28).
"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." - 1 Corinthians 11:1
Leaders Vision
As the leaders of the Crystal Church Youth Group, we understand that God has chosen us to be an integral part in the lives of the youth. We believe that, although we do need guidance, youth are best led by youth. As leaders we strive to inspire every member of the Youth Group to have a personal and intimate relationship with God.
After much Scripture reading, personal thought, and prayer we have come to the conclusion that such an enormous task can only be accomplished by God, and that we are not called to be anything more than servants. In that sense, even the term leader only serves to direct attention away from God. We are the servants of the Crystal Church Youth Group, and we live to see the next generation, our own generation, beat the odds and develop a passion for God.
Praise Team Vision
As a praise team, we have many visions I believe. Our vision is to continue to lead the church into worship, but I truly believe that God wants us to do something more with the gifts that God has given us. God has given us skills to play instruments and to sing. Although we are not the best musicians, we want to teach others how to lead worship and teach others any instruments they want to play. As the people learn and get more knowledge about how to lead worship, our vision is that those who learned can reach out to others that are passionate about worship and teach them. There are many churches that don’t have a praise team or don’t know how to lead worship and I believe that God is calling us to share what we learned throughout our experiences. Praise team has this picture in their minds that someday, our brothers and sisters will come together lead worship and praise the Lord. I truly believe that God is calling us to go out and teach and disciple others through the skills that He has given us.
Intercessory Prayer Team Vision
What should we be known for?
"I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." (Isaiah 62:6; NIV).
In the Bible, intercessory prayer is defined as holy, believing, and persevering prayer whereby someone pleads with God on behalf of another or others who desperately need Gods intervention. As an intercessory prayer team, our visions are to become prayer warriors of God, to take on the role as the Watchmen of our church, and to pray as the early church did in Acts. God has chosen us to really pray constantly for our body and to glorify God through our prayers. We are here to pray for intimacy with God and to keep our body in unity. We must share Gods heart; His burdens, hurts, anger, loves, and etc. Being the Watchmen of this church also calls us to come together as one and pray as a group that beats with the same heart. The book of Matthew says that if two or more brothers or sisters gather in His name, He will surely hear them. Prayer is the foundation for everything, so there is, in fact, power through prayer. We should always believe that through God, prayer can do amazing things.
Mission Team Vision
We can all say that the Lord has blessed us so abundantly. I know what you're thinking, "Great another text where this person talks about all that we have and how people in third world countries are in major poverty and suffering from persecution." Now, you tend to tweak certain areas of your life to set the "I'm grateful" status, but end up living just the way you were. All of us can relate to this one way or another. However, we, the youth group, are so blessed to partake in a special vision of the church and that is to raise 1 million dollars to send out to missions.
Now this is where the mission team comes in. God has given each of us (in the youth group) special gifts and talents like taking pictures, or making arts and crafts things. We can use all these gifts that God has given us to glorify and expand His kingdom. The mission team will set up events and certain activities that the whole youth group can participate in. For instance, taking pictures, making bracelets, bake sales, etc. However, our main goal/ purpose is to be a constant reminder of why we're doing these things and remind people all that God has given us so that we can use these things to help our brothers and sisters "out there" and help bring more and more people to Christ. There's one grand thing we must all remember as we participate in reaching this goal... God looks at the heart and the effort. Let's really be self-less and do our best to help our brothers and sisters and to help expand His kingdom. "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth" -- 1 John 3:18
